3-Phase & 1-Phase Online / Offline UPS
Single- and three-phase online (double-conversion) and offline UPS systems for critical control, IT and instrumentation loads, with matched battery banks.

About 3-Phase & 1-Phase Online / Offline UPS
A UPS keeps critical loads running through mains outages and shields them from voltage and frequency disturbances. IEC 62040-3 groups UPS by how much the output depends on the mains: VFD (offline or standby), VI (line-interactive, where voltage is regulated but frequency follows the mains) and VFI (online double conversion, where output is independent of mains voltage and frequency). Double-conversion units rectify the input to DC, keep the battery charged and rebuild a clean AC output through an inverter, so there is no transfer break.
Microtech supplies single- and three-phase UPS from Delta, APC, Neumeric and Sarthak. As examples of what is available, Delta's Amplon family covers single-phase UPS from 1 kVA, and its Ultron HPH three-phase series is fully rated (kVA equals kW) with 96% AC-AC efficiency, 99% in ECO mode and input current distortion below 3%. APC's Easy UPS 3S offers three-phase 400 V double-conversion online units from 10 to 40 kVA.
We size the UPS from your load's kW, power factor and required backup time, and supply the matched battery bank and installation.

3-Phase & 1-Phase Online / Offline UPS — FAQs
Online or offline UPS – which do I need?
An online (double-conversion) UPS rebuilds its output continuously, so the load never sees a mains disturbance or transfer break – the right choice for servers, PLCs and process instruments. A line-interactive or offline UPS costs less and suits office IT that can tolerate a brief transfer – close to 10 ms for a standby design.
What does VFI mean on a UPS datasheet?
VFI is the IEC 62040-3 class for UPS whose output is independent of mains voltage and frequency – in practice, online double-conversion units. VI is line-interactive and VFD is standby or offline.
How do you size the UPS and battery?
We add up the load in kW and kVA, allow for power factor, inrush and growth, then size the battery for the backup time you need. A list of connected equipment is enough to start.
