Flexible & Multicore Cables
Flexible single-core wire and multicore cable for panel wiring, machine looms and general power and control distribution.
Flexible, multicore, armoured and unarmoured power cable across four manufacturer lines — sized for current, volt drop and the way it will actually be laid.
Cable is sized three times over: for the current it must carry, for the volt drop over its run, and for the fault level it must survive until the protection clears. We check all three, then derate for grouping, ambient temperature and laying method.
We supply from four manufacturer lines in the drum lengths a job needs, and can take on termination, glanding and laying as part of an installation package.
Flexible single-core wire and multicore cable for panel wiring, machine looms and general power and control distribution.
PVC and XLPE insulated power cable, armoured or unarmoured, for underground, tray, trench and conduit installation.
Multicore control cable and screened signal cable for instrumentation and drive runs, where induced noise would otherwise corrupt a 4–20 mA loop.
Glands, lugs, ferrules, tags and earthing accessories sized to the cable, so a termination is as sound as the run itself.

From the design current, then checked for volt drop over the actual route length and for short-circuit withstand until the upstream protection clears. The result is derated for how many cables share the tray or trench, the ambient temperature and the laying method — which is why the answer is often one size larger than a bare current table suggests.
FRLS reduces smoke and corrosive gas in a fire, which matters in occupied buildings, plant rooms and escape routes. For an outdoor or buried run the fire load is usually not the deciding factor. We follow the consultant's specification where one exists.
Armoured for buried, trench and any run exposed to mechanical damage — the armour also provides an earth path. Unarmoured is normal on cable tray inside a building or in conduit. Tell us the route and we will specify.
