OVERVIEW

Switchgear selection is a coordination exercise, not a catalogue pick. We work from the fault level at the point of installation, choose breaking capacity and utilisation category to match, and set discrimination so a downstream fault does not take out the incomer.

We supply loose switchgear against a schedule, or fit and wire it inside panels we build. Agricultural pump-set starters and protection run on the same line card.

THE LINE-UP

What we design, build and supply.

LT Switchgear — ACB, MCCB, MPCB & Contactors

Air circuit breakers, moulded-case and motor-protection breakers, contactors and overload relays for incomers, feeders and motor circuits.

Icu / Ics to fault levelAC-1 / AC-3 dutyFixed / draw-out ACB

Protection & Control Relays

Electromechanical and electronic relays for circuit protection, interlocking and control logic, including motor and phase-fault protection.

Phase failure / asymmetryUnder / over voltageInterposing & interlock

Surge Protection Devices

Transient surge suppression at the incomer and at sensitive sub-boards, protecting drives, PLCs and instrumentation from spikes.

Type 1 / Type 2IEC 61643-11Status indication

Agricultural Power Products

Pump-set starters and protection built for agricultural supply conditions — wide voltage swing, single-phasing and dry-run risk.

Changeover Switches & Isolators

Manual and motorised changeover switches, load-break isolators and on-load switch disconnectors for source selection and safe isolation.

Earth-Leakage & RCD Protection

Residual-current devices and earth-leakage relays with core-balance CTs for personnel and fire protection on distribution circuits.

IN-HOUSE CAPABILITY

How the work actually gets done.

  • Fault-level review and breaking-capacity selection
  • Discrimination and cascading study across incomer and feeders
  • Type-1 / Type-2 coordination for motor starter combinations
  • Surge-protection scheme design across incomer and sub-boards
  • Supply against a switchgear schedule, or fitted and wired into our panels
  • Replacement, upgrade and spares for installed switchgear

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you enquire.

Do I need Type-1 or Type-2 coordination?

Type-1 permits contactor and starter damage after a short circuit provided there is no hazard outside the enclosure; Type-2 permits only light contact welding, so the starter stays serviceable. Type-2 costs more and is normally specified for critical or hard-to-reach drives. Tell us the duty and we will quote the coordinated combination.

Which surge protection type do I need where?

Type 1 at the origin of the installation where a direct lightning strike is credible, Type 2 at distribution boards feeding sensitive equipment. Many sites need both, coordinated by cable length or a decoupling inductor.

Can I buy switchgear loose, without a panel?

Yes. We supply against your schedule as an authorised channel promoter for the brands listed, so warranty and manufacturer support carry through.
