OVERVIEW

About Terminal Blocks & Panel Accessories

Terminal blocks are the junction points of a control panel: every field cable, every internal wire and every earth conductor lands on one. Well-chosen terminals, clearly marked and properly sized, make a panel safe to work on and fast to fault-find. Poor ones loosen with vibration, run hot and turn into the cause of intermittent faults.

Microtech supplies Connectwell terminal blocks and panel accessories. Connectwell, an Indian manufacturer, offers five connection technologies — standard and high-performance screw clamp, push-in, spring clamp, spring-loaded screw, and stud-and-bolt — and more than 14 terminal functions, from feed-through and multi-level to fuse, disconnect-and-test, earth, thermocouple and sensor/actuator terminals. Accessories include end clamps, DIN rails and supports, group markers, protective covers and tools.

The manufacturer tests its terminals to IEC 60947-7-1/-2/-3 and UL 1059, among other standards. We use the same terminals and numbering discipline in the panels we build at our Varanasi and Lucknow facilities.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Terminal Blocks & Panel Accessories — FAQs

Should I choose screw or push-in terminal blocks?

Screw terminals are familiar, take a wide range of wire sizes and suit heavier conductors. Push-in and spring terminals wire faster and resist loosening under vibration, which makes them a good fit for machinery. Many panels use both.

What size of terminal block do I need?

Choose by the largest conductor and the current it carries — for example, a 2.5 mm² terminal for 2.5 mm² control wiring. For power circuits, check the terminal's rated current against the circuit and allow for grouping.

Do you supply DIN rails, end stops and markers too?

Yes. We supply the complete termination rail — terminals, end clamps, DIN rail, partition plates, jumpers and markers — so the parts are consistent across the panel.
