OVERVIEW

About Analog & Digital Panel Meters

Panel meters give a quick, at-a-glance reading of voltage, current, frequency or power factor on a switchboard or control panel. We supply Rishabh Instruments analog and digital panel meters for LT panels, DG panels, battery chargers and control desks.

Rishabh analog meters use a moving-iron movement for AC and a moving-coil movement for DC. Meters such as the EQ moving-iron range are Class 1.5 to IS 1248. AC meters connect directly at lower currents or through a /1 A or /5 A CT, and through a /100 V or /110 V PT on HT systems. 2-in-1 versions put two readings in one case, and several meters can share a single mosaic cut-out.

Rishabh's programmable digital meters show a 4-digit LED reading, measure true RMS, and let you set the CT and PT ratio from the front keys. One meter can therefore be stocked for many feeder ratings. Both kinds follow standard DIN cut-out sizes, which keeps replacements simple.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Analog & Digital Panel Meters — FAQs

Analog or digital panel meter — which should I choose?

An analog meter shows trends and swings at a glance and needs no auxiliary supply. A digital meter gives a precise figure, and its CT/PT ratio can be programmed on site, so one model covers many ratings.

Moving iron or moving coil?

Moving-iron meters are used for AC voltage and current. Moving-coil meters measure DC, which suits battery chargers, DC drives and solar DC buses.

Will a new meter fit my existing cut-out?

Rishabh meters follow standard square sizes (48, 72, 96 and 144 mm, plus 48×96 for digital). Give us the existing cut-out and the meter range, and we will supply a matching replacement.

Can you supply calibration certificates?

Calibration certificates can be arranged with the manufacturer on request. Tell us at the order stage.
