Process Indicators & Multifunction Meters
Digital indicators and multifunction meters for real-time process and power monitoring.

About Process Indicators & Multifunction Meters
A process indicator shows a live process value, such as temperature, pressure or level, from a sensor or a 4–20 mA transmitter. A multifunction meter (MFM) shows the electrical side: voltage, current, power factor, kW and energy on a single display. We supply both from Selec for control panels, PCCs and MCCs.
Selec process indicators take thermocouple, Pt100, 0–10 V and 0/4–20 mA inputs, and some models add alarm relays, retransmission and RS485. Selec MFMs such as the MFM384 measure true-RMS values on three-phase systems, record import and export energy and maximum demand, and show %THD up to the 31st harmonic. They also send readings to SCADA or an energy dashboard over RS485 Modbus RTU.
We set the CT and PT ratios on site so the meter reads primary values. We also wire and address the Modbus loop during commissioning, which makes these meters a practical way to start sub-metering a plant.

Process Indicators & Multifunction Meters — FAQs
What does a multifunction meter measure?
A three-phase MFM such as the Selec MFM384 shows voltage, current, frequency, power factor, active, reactive and apparent power, energy import and export, maximum demand and %THD. All of this appears on one 96×96 mm display.
Can the meter read primary current through a CT?
Yes. You program the CT primary (1/5 A up to 10 kA on the MFM384) and the CT secondary of 1 A or 5 A. The display then shows the actual feeder current.
Can these meters feed our SCADA or energy dashboard?
Selec MFMs such as the MFM384 offer RS485 Modbus RTU, and selected process indicators have optional RS485. We wire and address the loop as part of commissioning.
What is the difference between Class 1 and Class 0.5S meters?
Both are energy accuracy classes, and 0.5S is the tighter of the two. Class 1 suits general monitoring. Class 0.5S, available on models such as the MFM384+, is preferred for sub-metering, where energy is billed or allocated between departments.
