OVERVIEW

About Test & Measuring Instruments

Field test instruments are how an electrician confirms a circuit is dead, finds a fault and proves an installation before handover. We supply Fluke and Rishabh Instruments test equipment to maintenance teams, contractors and panel builders. Our own engineers use the same instruments for commissioning.

The range covers true-RMS digital multimeters, AC/DC clamp meters, insulation resistance testers, earth testers, thermal imaging cameras and tachometers. Fluke's 87V multimeter and 376 FC clamp meter, and Rishabh's RISH Multi 20 and RISH Clamp 1000A/300A, carry CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V ratings under IEC 61010-1. That makes them suitable for work at the supply origin and on distribution boards.

We help match the tool to the job: insulation test voltage to the equipment rating, clamp jaw size to the conductor, and thermal camera range to the process temperature. We also keep the CAT rating in step with where the instrument will be used.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Test & Measuring Instruments — FAQs

What CAT rating do I need on a multimeter?

Use CAT IV 600 V for work at the supply origin, such as the meter or service entry. Use at least CAT III for distribution boards and fixed installations. Models like the Fluke 87V and RISH Multi 20 carry CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V.

Which insulation test voltage should I use?

It depends on the equipment's rated voltage. LT wiring and motors are commonly tested at 500 V or 1000 V, while HT cables and machines need higher voltages, which a 5 kV tester such as the Agam AIT 501 from Rishabh provides.

Can a clamp meter measure DC current?

Only AC/DC models can. The Fluke 376 FC and RISH Clamp 1000A/300A measure both, which is useful on solar strings, battery banks and DC drives.

Do you supply calibration certificates with test instruments?

Calibration certificates can be arranged with the manufacturer on request. Please mention it when you order.
